Today is #TimSackettDay, where we honor someone who kicking ass and taking names, in the past year, in the HR/Recruiting Space.
Side note: I really need to better on this. I’m putting this in my calendar right now.
This year’s honoree is Kelly Dingee, Strategic Recruiting Manager for Staffing Advisors, world renown sourcer (not sourcerer), writer for Fistful of Talent, Maryland Mom, and a great person to talk to.
I remember my first conversation with her on Twitter when she mention “FCPS” and knowing that she lives in Maryland. I tweeted “Fairfax County Public Schools?” Then, she replied “Frederick County.” Oh, my regional bias.
Our first face-to-face encounter was at TWTRCON (now RealTime Report) in the Fall of 2009 he she was a volunteer at this conference. I remember there were HR/recruiting people, my friends, and hockey (when the Caps were actually good). It as a smorgasbord of my favorite things all in one room.
I have seen Kelly many times through a lot of events we attended, especially recruitDC, where she is a presenter and volunteer. We all know she can write about sourcing, but seen her present about sourcing, she knows her stuff and knows what she is doing.
I’m more knowledgeable on sourcing and a better all-around recruiter because of Kelly. If you want to be a better recruiter, follow Kelly.
