This is the second of a series of posts this week about the new board I created, why I am doing it, and what I’m trying to achieve in the long run. If you’re interested in posting a job on my site, fill out the contact form above.
We know visuals get more of a reaction from the audience than text. Here are the stats to prove it:
It is true businesses know visuals are important and have created career pages full of content and visuals. However, remember I said people want everything all-in-one? It is fine to have a career page and post pictures and videos of how great your workplace is, but frankly, people don’t want to waste time sifting through a company page to find a job. They want to get the information now. This is where the job board and keywords come in.
The job posting should tailor to different groups. For example, if you’re marketing department is fun and creative, it should show that they’re fun and creative. Why not in job postings, instead of putting it in text, put it in gifs or memes of how creative they are. If it’s an accountant job, you would want to go mostly text (maybe audio) and give details (like upcoming projects).
Let’s understand marketing gives the perception the business want you to think of them. It’s what you’re coming in to their place is truly reality. Businesses need to make their media content that are close to reality. You can have all the media that you want, but you must have relevant media content to make the job post effective.
